Tuberous breasts are also known as tubular breasts or constricted breasts.
The tuberose breast is the form that the breast acquires when its development occurs in adolescence. It consists of an insufficient development of the lower part of the breast, in many cases with a certain degree of fall and herniation of the gland through the areola, which usually has an excessive diameter. It is shown in different degrees, some very slight, microsyndromes, others dramatic.
There is always an elevated submarine sulcus, a greater or lesser glandular herniation through the areola-nipple complex that distends and a poor development of the poles infero- laterals of the breast, hence the “tubular” shape. In almost 2/3 there is asymmetry between both breasts and hypoplasia or lower volume of the breasts is usual.
